About the Role
As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will provide therapy, counseling, and psychological assessments to individuals and families. You’ll help people cope with mental health conditions and emotional challenges while also supporting other psychologists on the team. In this role, you’ll work with a variety of professionals—doctors, nurses, and social workers—to ensure patients receive well-rounded care.
This job plays a key role in improving the quality of mental health services throughout San Diego County.
Key Responsibilities
Mental Health Counseling
- Conduct mental health evaluations and one-on-one therapy sessions
- Create personalized treatment plans based on each client’s needs
- Provide group and family therapy as needed
- Use evidence-based practices to treat mental health disorders
Leadership and Support
- Supervise and mentor clinical psychologists and interns
- Offer guidance on complex cases and treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards and ethical guidelines
Program Development
- Assist in developing and improving mental health programs
- Collaborate with community partners to expand access to care
- Support outreach efforts for underserved populations
Team Collaboration
- Work with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare providers
- Participate in team meetings and client case reviews
- Share insights to improve patient outcomes across departments
Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Track treatment progress and adjust plans as needed
- Ensure reports follow legal and clinical guidelines

Required Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California
- 5+ years of clinical experience in mental health or behavioral health services
- Experience supervising or mentoring other mental health professionals
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (especially English and Spanish)
- Experience with diverse populations and trauma-informed care
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Familiarity with public mental health programs and community outreach
